Keeping Cool With Barley
It's only a matter of time before your non-central-air apartments start to get the best of you during the heatwaves that are bound to hit us all very soon. So, since your fan hardly cools you off and cold showers only satisfy you for a wee bit of time, why don't you try another method - - BARLEY. Barley is a grain I eat with many meals during the summer. It cools the body down. I purchase mine at Whole Foods. Drinking barley tea, which is oh so yummy, is an excellent and delightful way to get your barley fix. It's also a great substitute for coffee, for you addicts. I get mine at a Japanese market on Sawtelle in Los Angeles.
