No One's Perfect...

I'm feeling a little under the weather at the moment, nothing crazy, but not quite right. I really learned something this morning, that mixing alcohol is sometimes not the most sound decision. Not that I drank that much last night... but a bit of red wine, with a very tiny bit of whiskey and throw in 1/2 a cerveza makes one feel very yucky. So to combat a hangover, mild or not, I read this on Alternative Health Journal.
The best hangover cure, of course, is not to drink in excess or at all. Many people have their own way of dealing with a hangover, from taking aspirin to eating a greasy breakfast. But if you’d like to get rid of that hangover in a sensible, all-natural way, consider these supplements:

Vitamin C and B-Complex. The diuretic effect of alcohol depletes the system of these essential vitamins, the lack of which can make you feel run down and give you a headache. Supplements can introduce a high level back into the body in a short amount of time and relieve hangover symptoms.

Gingko biloba. The seeds from the gingko plant are a traditional hangover remedy in China, where they are commonly put out at parties to stave off the effects of drinking too much.

Wintergreen. This herb has an aspirin-like effect, making it a good remedy for hangover headache.

Ginseng. Researchers in Korea discovered that the fructose in ginseng accelerates the metabolism of alcohol by 25 percent.
