The French Spiderman

Who the heck is that guy in the previous entry!? I'm sure that's what you're wondering, right? Well, on my way to work this morning on the bus, I read a great article in The New Yorker called "The Vertical Tourist" about Alain Robert, the French Spiderman. Alain is known to have scaled 85 buildings all over the world without any equipment. He's a free climber and he climbs alone. His journey began as a child when he saw the movie, The Mountain; "he wanted to be the Spencer Tracy character, a brave hero battling for survival against the direst of odds." He climbs in order to draw awareness to causes he believes in, like global warming. On this Earth Day, I want to share inspiring stories like Alain's.
